Little known fact – my undergraduate degree was in history, which makes this year’s Science Fellowship subject one after my own heart. The Altar Valley Heritage Project is a compilation of oral history interviews with individuals who have a history in the Altar Valley. Our 2023 Science Fellow, Margaret Edgecombe, spent the summer interviewing 19 individuals and compiling a report describing trends in those conversations. The oldest participant was born in 1929, and the ages came down from there. The AVCA is very pleased to have captured memories and thoughts that span the last century.
